Unconventional boy-meets-girl story jumps back and forth in time to trace the relationship between two office workers: he's smitten with her, but she doesn't want to commit to a serious relationship, even though she likes him. Clever at times, with two very appealing stars, but heavy-handed narration and self-conscious gimmickry wear out their welcome. Makes wondrous use of downtown L.A.
